The Christian Soldiers field recognition guide.
Battle Dress Uniform: Ephesians 6: 10-18
Put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground... with the Belt of Truth buckled around your waist, with the Breastplate of Righteousness (in Christ) in place, and with your feet fitted with readiness that comes from the Gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the Shield of Faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the enemy. Take up the Helmet of Salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit (Word of God) and Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind be Alert and always keep on praying for all the saints (people who have salvation).
I do not normally copy Bible verses on my web site; but the above is so important that I feel that it is worthy to do so.
My personal (visible) example of using the Armor of God is as follows...
The apartment that I rented in the 80’s was in the city with a University and different types of temples nearby. The Bible speaks of “spiritual wickedness in high places” and this site of transient demons was no different, located in the middle of all this ‘spiritual activity’. I would shortly learn to pray before I went to bed, the Armor of God onto myself, otherwise I would be awoken by demonic attacks normally more than if I did not pray on this Armor; and build a hedge around myself.
One night I had a roommate sharing my room with me, he was an Italian American man I was trying to help as he went through a divorce. In the middle of the night he yelled over at me asking, why are you on your hand and knees beating on your pillow?
He had awaken me and I explained to him that I was sleeping on my back; in shock he told me that a being over me was on his hands and knees beating me in the head!
I could not see this phenomenon but he could and it terrified him, then we heard the common clapping noise I was used to hearing in that apartment. He asked me what that noise was. I told him just a little demon and to go back to sleep, then he asked me what to do and I suggested that we pray. He stated powerfully too me (lets pray, lets pray) and we did.
My point here is that the spiritual “Helmet of Salvation” I had placed upon my head had protected me from demonic projections and attacks even in my sleep. The demon he had seen was angry that it was unable to penetrate that piece of Armor, so it decided to try and beat on it attempting to complete its attack (unsuccessfully).
Although these types of experiences are rare, God did allow me to experience them for a short time, in showing me the realities of the spiritual realm.
This is the reason (showing the reality of Christ and the enemy) I have decided to share them with you. I do not consider myself an expert in such events, but I do know something of the realities of an effective Christian life.
Warning, always remember that the Apostle Paul is addressing the Christian brethrens in this passage, (the people who have a living relationship and Salvation in Christ). He is not addressing the unsaved. If one is unsaved (does not know Christ personally) than he is unfit and unable to wage effective spiritual warfare!
In fact, if the ladder is the case more damage can occur from the demonically occupied space or people;
if you do not posses the proper spiritual authority in Christ!
Jesus himself taught us that if a demonically possessed house or person is cleaned and they are not spiritually saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit, than the demons will return to the clean house seven times stronger than when they left!
Recognition of the Enemy:
Spiritual forces have different signatures; one of the most common signatures of demonic activity is the lack of heat or (Cold) present around demonic activity.
Satan normally mimics’ God and a Soldier of Christ must learn to discern these deceptions or counterfeits.
Another common attribute of demonic activity is a smell of rotten egg’s, a clapping sound or even what appears to be dust balls.
Often demons will also appear as sparks of light, or what looks to be like flickers that appear when watching an old newsreel or movie in a given area.
In a dark room a demon can appear as an even darker silhouette.
Demons can take on many forms such as animals types; frogs, goats, aliens, monsters, people and even relatives in order to deceive.
Even grand light shows are possible appearing as "god"; remember Lucifer was the Angle of light before his fall.
Atmospheric (air) forces: The Bible tells us that Satan is Prince of the power of the air, Ephesians 2:02.
People have been found crushed to death when falling outside a pentagram used in demonic worship or witchcraft by air pressure.
The Pentagram is an inverted five pointed star, symbolizing the scapegoat’s head (goat used in the Old Testament that sin was cast upon); the “goats head” is used as a representation of the devil.
I do not write this page to go into different types of occult sciences’ (now called religions), but rather to give an example of the power found within the Bible, as it is only God who is the creator, and the strongest demonic forces often twists truths found in the Bible for power from the father of lies.
Atmospheric force used by demons can even distort electrical radio signals, water, or give a sensation of suffocating, (not able to breath). In my limited experience with demons they have attacked me from my feet up, giving me a sensation of being pulled from below (lower nature) and not able to breath.
Always remember that the Spiritual World is set up as Kingdom's having two different Kings- the King of Kings and the King of Darkness. Never enter into a spiritual battle without prayer, preporation, or the authority to do so!
For the most part, most Christians only have Spiritual Authority over their own property or households, never attempt to overstep your authority as a Christian; you will get your slats kicked in, and deserve it!
Only when given permission from the owner of the household or property should a Christian and a Christian partner even consider doing deliverance!
However, if it is your property given in stewardship from God to you, you might have to start “cleaning your own house” like it or not... but always seek assistance if possible from a more mature Christian.
