Matthew 24: 32-34
32) Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33) So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34) Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
The Main Line Church has taught this parable started occurring in 1948 when Israel was re”planted” However, if you ask any farmer, a plant does not blossom, when it is planted. This blossoming occurred when Israel recaptured the Holy City of Jerusalem, in the 1967 war.
Now, you do the math on the last generation…I get that “before 2017” Christ will return, so I “guess” we shall soon see!
The substance of this post was once sent to, Dr. Jack Van Impe; in 1985, then he gave the credit of it to a Bishop in England, about 1986 on his T.V. broadcast: Yet that’s OK, I got it from Dr. Michael Wm. Gross, DD ThD PhD in 1984, a street preacher from Baltimore City MD.
