I have posted on this very subject of “Apostasy”. And it is true apostasy is prevalent in todays worlds.
Apostasy, from the Greek word apostasia, means “a defiance of an established system or authority; a rebellion; an abandonment or breach of faith.” In the first-century world, apostasy was a technical term for political revolt or defection. And just like in the first century, apostasy threatens the Body of Christ today.
To fully identify and combat apostasy, it is important that Christians understand its various forms and the traits that characterize its doctrines and teachers. As to the forms of apostasy, there are two main types: (1) a falling away from key and true doctrines of the Bible into heretical teachings that proclaim to be “the real” Christian doctrine, and (2) a complete renunciation of the Christian faith, which results in a full abandonment of Christ.
Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post! You have done a terrific job in explaining our present day Apostasy’s, and the dangerous damage it presents to the actual followers of Jesus Christ.
You are quite welcome, Lightship. Your article caught my attention and I felt it worthy of commenting on. Apostasy is a dangerous thought process and it is undermining our youth and our churches.
Today, more than at any other time, people are moving away from the Church or; moving into the realms f church environments of which bring them a “feel good sermon.” The youth of today are filled with no notion as to who Christ is or; they’re filled with such misleading information from such as atheists and new age movements they can’t seem to come to any realizations independent of apostasies.
It take men, as you and I, to help bring the truth of Jesus Christ to a fallen world. I ask you to keep slugging away and ministering to those who need you the most – the lost.

Well said. I will further this only to say that taking only parts of the Holy Writ to satisfy those itchy ears is just as bad as throwing out the entire Gospel. Jeremiah was instructed to eat the roll, the whole roll.

You are quite welcome, lightship.. The Lord surely does work in mysterious ways. It is when we reach our lowest levels does He lift us up. It is through faith that He works His suddenness upon us. It is when we feel alone and with despair that He shows His mercy and grace……
Your worth, to God and others is, at times, hidden…… but He lifts you up in your hour of greatest despair and sorrow…… and your worth becomes known to others…….. Keep walking forward…….. you’re heading in, and under, His direction… Just keep walking towards light and you will be surprised at the encouragement you will bring to others.
