This is why we get so much grief. The last place you were looking for the enemies of God. They were not those who you expected.

Jesus told us to love our enemies and to pray for those who despitefully use us. Jesus Christ, our example, loved His enemies warning them to repent and put their faith in Him. On the cross He said, “Father forgive them. For they know not what they do.” We must share the truth with them and pray that God would enlighten their minds, just as He has done for us, who also were once His enemies. We must avoid those who bring in division through their false doctrines. It is really sad the terrible state the church has devolved into. I think the pomp and show is where we shouldn’t go, but we must stay with Christ and His Word. Praise God for His grace to us through His Son Jesus Christ. Amen!

    • Indeed, yet Justin is speaking about letting false brethren into the fellowship of actual believers. That destroys the unity, and work of the Holy Spirit within the meeting place, and we are instructed not to allow such soiling amongst actual brethren.

It would be wonderful if there were assemblies of believers where that is true. However, with the leadership of the majority of assemblies corrupted by false teaching, it becomes necessary to withdraw ourselves in order to not become polluted. At least, that has been our experience here in N. Calif. We are planning to try another church this Sunday, Independent Baptist, but there is no telling. Pray for us please. The Lord Jesus Christ bless you. Amen!

      • Correct, good luck in finding one. I have found I must hold the head (who is Christ) myself. Most are unwilling to do this I’m afraid.

We’ve been doing this for 7 years on and off. It seems it doesn’t matter the type of church, the leadership is led astray with false teaching of one sort or another. It is very disturbing. God bless you.
