In this post, I wanted to share my story about my Cocker Spaniel “Molly” and her consistent desire to please her owners.
For a short time in my life, I raised finches. These little birds would answer me when shouting “birdies” from my bedroom in the morning, they would even take to using my hair in the construction of their nests, but never any dog hair!
One day I decided to open the top of a constructed bird-cage which I had made, as the store purchased cage soon grew much too small to house all my birds. It was a regrettable move, for as soon as I opened the top, all my bird flew out within the house.
It seemed about a half hour went by before retrieving all my birds and returning them to the cleaned out cage… All accept the mother bird who hatched all the offspring that is! I was exhausted, even attempting to use a fish net to try to snag this very fast-moving mother, without injuring her.
I had just about given up, and hoped she would return to the cage on her own. Just then, “snap” my Cocker Spaniel Molly, had jumped up in midair and snatched up my bird within her mouth! I screamed out “Molly no”, but it was too late – then my Cocker Spaniel Molly released the unscathed bird from her mouth ever so gently, releasing her into my hand.
Many of us miss out on the understanding our animals have of us, if you are anything like me, we get so involved in our daily lives, that we often miss out on our pets communicating their love for us in a variety of actions…
I have found that we often do this same thing to our heavenly father, who only wishes to show us His love for us.

“Molly”, my loyal Cocker Spaniel who only wishes to please me.
